Panoramic view of Kvarken Archipelago. On left is The Repot bridge in Mustasaari and on right is White-tailed eagle.
Kvarken is narrow region in the Gulf of Bothnia separating the Bothnian Bay from the Bothnian Sea. The water depth in the region is only around 25 meters and the region has an unusual rate of land rising for about 1 cm a year. This was Finland's first UNESCO heritage site.
